About Me

I am driven by helping to show people that being in pain, and suffering with aches or limited range of movement is not something you should have to put up with.

Too many people see pain, restriction and injuries as normal. As a result, I am passionate about changing this perception.

I’m a level 5 Remedial and Sports Massage Therapist who uses biomechanics alongside a combination of remedial, sports and holistic massage techniques with spinal mobilisation to achieve the desired result whether its injury rehabilitation, a long standing niggle or ache. To ensure prolonged and successful results, I supply all of my clients with bespoke remedial exercise and stretching programmes.

I am a recognised member of the Massage Training Institute, who hold high standards to ensure that all clients receive safe, regulated treatment.

I am proud to be registered with the Complimentary & Natural Healthcare Council who hold a high standard of practice with purpose no other than to protect the public through codes of ethics, conduct and performance.

What are the benefits of Soft Tissue Therapy?

Decrease stress and anxiety, improve mobility, relief from aches and pain, injury prevention and recovery, event readiness, and increase of blood circulation.

Does it hurt?

No pain, lots to gain!

Some techniques may cause slight soreness, but you will be offered alternatives if you aren’t comfortable receiving them.

What if I have a recent injury?

Depending on the nature of the injury, and advice from your doctor massage may promote healing. This would need assessing on an individual basis.

What if I’m pregnant?

As long as you are past your first trimester, and you have the go-ahead from your midwife – sports massage can have many benefits.

What can I expect?

Your first appointment will consist of a consultation; inclusive of a postural assessment, discussion of treatment goals, treatment methods, what it will feel like, treatment plan and prognosis.

What if you don’t think you can help?

I will write a referral letter for you, and advise you of what healthcare professional I think would be best to approach and why.

How many treatments will I need?

This varies depending on your needs, lifestyle, and how long your complaint has been ongoing.

I will be sure to discuss this with you at consultation.

What if I have a chronic pathology?

Sports massage may not be able to cure existing pathology, but it may be able to help you manage pain and ease your symptoms with regular treatments.

Great for stress releasing, tension relieving deep tissue massage. Give yourself the time to relax and unwind! 60 Minute treatments are also great if you have more than one area of focus for a sports or remedial massage, or want to really get down to the route cause of a reoccurring issue. 

Perhaps you want the productive benefit of a sports or remedial massage in addition to the relaxing experience of a deep tissue massage? 60 minutes gives plenty of time for a bit of both!

Dry Needling & Medical Acupuncture

Dry needling is a technique similar to acupuncture that is used for the treatment of specific trigger points and muscle pain. Medical acupuncture is used to address generalised pain. 

‘Dry needle’ refers to the fact that the needle is not hollow and doesn’t administer or withdrawal fluid. The needles I use are 0.2mm thick, so very small and vary in length depending on the area I’m working on.

Often, the needle isn’t felt when entering the tissue and can be very beneficial for pain reduction, alleviating muscle spasm and tension, facilitating the healing process and inducing local and general relaxation.

I offer needling in conjunction with sports or remedial massage as a multi-pronged approach, or as a stand alone session.
